Team to play in Champions Indoor Football League starting in 2019

Enid, OK -- July 24, 2018 The Central National Bank Center is excited to announce that professional indoor football is coming to the CNB Center. The yet-to-be-named team will begin play with the 2019 season and will play in the Champions Indoor Football league. The new CIF franchise will play six regular-season home games and potential playoff dates at the Central National Bank Center.

“We are thrilled to have a professional indoor football league team calling the Central National Bank Center home starting with the 2019 season,” said Spectra General Manager at the Central National Bank Center. “This is something we have been working with the Champions Indoor Football League on for a long time and we are pleased to make it happen with such a great ownership group that has ties to Oklahoma.”

“I’m very excited and humbled to be bringing a professional indoor football team to Enid. This is something I wanted to do for a long time,” said majority owner Craig Tirey. “Being from Oklahoma, I know how big football is and I’m looking forward to the support we are going to receive from the community.”
The CIF is the largest professional indoor football league in the country with teams stretching throughout the Midwest. Regional teams near Enid include Wichita and Salina, KS, Amarillo and Frisco, TX and Kansas City, MO. The season runs from March through June with a 12-game regular season. Playoffs begin in June and are three rounds.

“The Champions Indoor Football League and its Board of Directors are pleased to welcome to the league its newest members with today’s announcement. The City of Enid is fortunate to have such a strong and knowledgeable ownership group and front office team representing the community in Craig, Richard & Judy as well as a facility management company lead by the facilities manager Kevin Boryczki and his staff at Spectra. Collectively as a group they will be successful in making an impact on and off the field, and bringing indoor football back to the state of Oklahoma.”

Season tickets for the 2019 season are on sale now. Ticket plans start as low as $72. Seats can be reserved with a deposit and payment plans will be available. For more information visit www.oklahomaindoorfootball.com or call 580.297.0763.

Enid’s CIF team is also excited to announce the launch of a “Name the Team” contest. Fans are encouraged to participate to submit their favorite team name by visiting the team’s website, www.oklahomaindoorfootball.com. Entries must be received by Monday, August 13. The winning name will be announced shortly thereafter.

Anyone submitting an entry will be entered into a drawing to receive one of ten inaugural season t-shirts. The winning submission will receive two free season tickets to the inaugural season, a team autographed football and will participate in Opening Night Ceremonies in March 2019. If the same team name is submitted multiple times, one of those entries will be randomly selected.

The winners must be a resident of Oklahoma or Kansas and at least 18 years old.
