Bloomington, Ill. – A late score for the Bloomington Edge was not enough to complete the comeback attempt for the Bloomington Edge who were upset by the Salina Liberty today. The final score of 47 to 28 marks the first win on the season for Salina and complicates Bloomington’s chances for hosting a home playoff game.
The Edge managed only 160 yards of offense and were led by quarterback Caleb Holbrook’s three touchdowns. On defense, the Edge allowed 151 yards to the Liberty offense which rang up 28 points after halftime. The Edge were also hindered by a missed field goal and three missed extra points and 111 yards lost due to penalties.
The Bloomington Edge have their final home game of the regular season against the West Michigan Ironmen next Friday May 26th at 7:05 pm. The Edge will be honoring cancer survivors and celebrating the end of the school year. Great seats are still available for the season finale for as low as $12.
