The Amarillo Venom, defending Champions Indoor Football South Division champions, will host the 2017 International Championship at the Amarillo Civic Center’s Cal Farley Coliseum on Saturday, February 25th at 7pm. Squaring off with the Venom is an all-star team from the Liga Extrema de Football Arena México, A.C. (known as the LEXFA). The LEXFA all-star team is comprised of players, coaches, and individuals on staff who will come into Amarillo from Mexico City.
The Amarillo Venom has been working alongside the Amarillo CVC, News Channel 10, Telemundo, and Marble Depot and other local businesses and media outlets in effort to promote this monumental matchup. The Venom openly embraces the Hispanic culture of the Texas Panhandle with events such as the Los Venom game the last couple of seasons.
The schedule of events will kick off with the Venom and the All-Star team visiting area schools and businesses on Friday, February 24th. Also, the Venom will be hosting a media luncheon.
The Amarillo Venom is a proud member of the Champions Indoor Football league and is riding off its third Championship appearance in both the LSFL and CIF. The Venom is still looking for revenge over the three point loss to the Wichita Force.
The Venom open the CIF regular season in Albuquerque, NM against the Duke City Gladiators and will host the Dallas Marshals (formerly the Mesquite Marshals) on Saturday, March 18th as the 2017 Season Home Opener.
Tickets go on sale at all Panhandle Ticket outlets on February 8th.
