RALSTON, NE - With training camp officially beginning on March 4th, the Omaha Beef Football team announced additional players for the upcoming season. Beef coaches believe the duo will have an immediate impact in 2019

Trayon Nash:
Indoor football veteran, Trayon Nash, returns to the Omaha Beef for the 2019 season. A wide receiver from Minnesota Community College earned his way back onto the Omaha roster and is looking forward to contributing in multiple ways. Nash’s versatility allows him to play on both sides of the ball and has even been designated the team’s emergency quarterback. “Trayon has so much indoor experience in these leagues, he’s a weapon that I am looking forward to utilizing in our offense,” stated Offensive Coordinator Chuck Wright. “Trayon is the ultimate team player and we’re excited to have him back this season”.

Calvin Phillips:
Running Back Calvin Phillips is no stranger to the Omaha Beef and returns after last suiting up for the black and orange during the 2017 season. Offensive Coordinator Chuck Wright has a unique perspective on Phillips, as they were teammates in 2017. “Playing alongside Calvin gives me a better understanding of what he brings to the table and how we can maximize his potential here in Omaha,” Wright said. “Calvin is a physical and punishing runner who creates issues for opposing defenses with his style of play. We are already creating plays to get the football in his hands because he is that good of an offensive threat”. Having only played 5 games during the 2017 season Phillips amassed 342 rushing yards on 74 rushing attempts to go along with 9 touchdowns before his season was cut short due to injury.
